The Road (La strada), graphic novel, adaptation by Manu Larcenet,  first Italian edition

Coconino Press – Fandango, Roma, 2024

First Italian edition, first printing with “Finito di stampare nel mese di gennaio 2024” on the copyright page. Hardcover, without a dustjacket, as issued, 31.3 x 25.2 cm, 155 numbered pages in four-color printing. Publisher’s grey thick cardboard covers, lettered in white, featuring the same drawings as the first French trade edition. Translated from the French by Emanuelle Caillat.

CONDITION: corners and spine tips just touched, a near fine copy.

Published on April 12, 2024, at €28, in a first print run of 5,000 copies

This first Italian edition was published just two weeks after the true first in French. The publisher, Coconino Press – Fandango, had previously published all the Italian versions of Larcenet’s works.

As far as I could determine, the text and plates are identical to those in the French edition.

REPRINT:  due to the strong demand, the publisher issued a second printing just a week later, adding another 5,000 copies. This reprint is identified by “Prima ristampa” and “Finito di stampare nel mese di aprile 2024” on the copyright page.
